Lessons Resistance Free Natural Horsemanship classes cover basic horsemanship, groundwork, handling, grooming, tacking, saddling fitting, horse education - aptitude testing, centred riding, natural balance, rhythm and equine psychology.

Available for Western and English:

  • Horse Ownership classes - For new horse owners, covering feeding, supplements, saddle fitting, saddling techniques, grooming, and health maintenance.
  • Day and evening classes
  • Men’s and ladies classes
  • Parent and tot
  • Private and special group lessons available
  • Disabled riders (individual Saturday lessons only)
  • Individual attention to solving problems for each rider and ensuring growth. We personalize your choice in horses for each level of rider.

Group Class information:

Maximum 6 students per class for individual attention lessons in our spacious indoor riding area. Weather permitting - outdoor riding area

Group lessons one night a week - choose from Wednesday evening classes with Megan or Saturday morning classes with Nicole.

$25 per person for 45 minutes of training, and 15 minutes of supervised tack up time.

Small intimate classes with lots of personal attention for students

Payment per month

$10 for the Friday night practice ride @ 6pm -7pm., for students in level 3 or higher

Instructors TRAINED AND CERTIFIED with the CERTIFIED HORSEMAN'S ASSOCIATION, a world wide recognized association.

Private Lessons

One hour private lesson on rider growth and relationship with horse
$50.00 per hour

Breakdown of Levels

Level I
How to properly groom, tack, lead and tie. The proper position, how to hold the reins, transitions from walk to trot and the difference between posting and sitting trot.

Level II
Same as previous, adding parts of tack and uses, kinds of horses and conformation. Maintaining control and position at walk, trot and through transitions, learning posting diagnonals and for English, jump position.

Level III
Learning parts of hoof, and common injuries, basic feeding and nutrition. Developing proficiency at canter. Work without stirrups, emergency dismount.

Level IV
Braiding, gaits and movement of horse. More canter work, canter in large circles, perform schooling movements.

Level V
Learning basic jumps and strides, leg protection and uses. Correction of canter lead, control at canter without stirrups, and for English, half-seat position.

Level VI
Techniques for lungeing, emergency injury care. Canter lead changes, for English - developing jump position over fences.

Level VII
Identifying bits and uses, advanced flat maneuvers, keeping horse in proper frame.

Level J2
Walking courses, feeds and supplements. Hunter and equitation coursework.

Level J3
Advanced jumping, learning how to instruct young riders.

**New student applications for any level higher than Level I must have an assessment lesson.** (8 years and older)
